Things have changed… but they remain the same.

Well, 2012 was a long and ever changing year for BR.  God was moving in so many great ways it was evident that He was wanting to shake things up in the B-Road family.  Here is a quick rundown of how His plan shaped out.

#1. Three of the Burgundy Road originals were called to different ministries.  Cody (bass) left for seminary with his wife Shelly.  They now live in Abilene, TX and serve at FBC Clyde.  Trey (lead guitar) went to serve at Austin Stone church in Austin, TX and he currently plays with several bands… he’s way too talented for just one.  Nik (rhythm / lead guitar) moved back home to Albania with his wife Erin to work with the family business and orphanages.

#2. Babies babies and more babies.  Phillip (vocals) and Jason (drums / keys) both had beautiful healthy babies in Aug & Oct of 2012.  In related news Cody and Nik’s families are also expecting!

#3. New is good!  God has blessed us with some great talent and friends to join in the ministries of BR.  In Feb of last year Daniel Ducloux joined Burgundy Road as permanent bass player and vocalist.  Daniel is most definitely one of the most musically gifted men there is.  Not only that, but he is pretty dang fun to be around.  Lending their talents at the guitar positions were Ben Zuniga of the band Princeton Runaway and Med student Mike Ewing.  This summer we are happy to announce that Jordan Rodriquez will be filling the spot at lead guitar.  What a privilege it has been to serve Jesus along side of such talented and devoted Christ followers.

In all that God has changed the one thing that remains the same is our devotion to teaching and participating in worship with others.  Our hearts for ministry and music are as big and vibrant as ever.  We hope to see you all soon and share in celebration of who God is and what He has done for ALL of us in Jesus.
