“We pray that He would use us not for entertainment, but to effectively teach and facilitate worship. It is our joy to join other Christ followers in true spirit-filled exaltation of our Father.”
~ Burgundy Road
Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
I grew up singing in church as a child. I think I always knew God was calling me to ‘music ministry’ but as a 12 year old boy I just didn’t know what that looked like. From that point to this God has continued to deepen my understanding of what ‘worship’ really is to Him and how best to communicate that to His people.
Vocals / Bass Guitar
“In your presence is where I belong” are lyrics from one of my favorite artists (Jason Upton). These words also happen to be a recurrent theme in my life. I’ve been leading worship since 2000 at the age of 13. I started out playing bass and picked up guitar and singing along the way. I’ve been part of many different projects doing many different things from singing to playing guitar and bass to producing and engineering albums. Music has always been a mainstay in my life and I consider it an honor and privilege to do it with purpose.
Drums / Keys
Born in Denver, CO, Jason grew up in the Dallas area and attended McMurry University. He joined Burgundy Road in 2001 and plays drums and keys. When he’s not playing with the band you might find him camping out with his three-year-old Weimeraner Sam Mule, teaching drum, guitar, or piano lessons, or chowing down on Mexican food. Jason’s favorite band is Thrice and he likes to milk snakes. And cuddle tigers.
